Advanced Driving Course
We are highly experienced and trained to keep people and companies road safety compliant by providing an Advanced Driving Course to employees.
Occupational driving always involves risk for drivers, passengers and other road users. The Safety, Health and Welfare Act (2005) places responsibility on employers to ensure that all employees are properly trained and complete refresher courses to achieve the highest of driving standards. We specialise in a technique called ‘Advanced Driving’ which is the ability to predict and compensate for the mistakes of other road users. It is a safe, mindful and methodical way of driving. Advanced driving is based on the system of vehicle control and there are 5 phases to the system:
- Information
- Position
- Speed
- Gear
- Acceleration
Advanced Driving focuses on concentration, all-round observation, anticipation and planning. The vehicle must always be at the right speed with the correct gear engaged and can always be stopped within the distance that can be seen to be clear on its correct side of the road.
Power Driver Risk Management Services are highly trained and experienced to keep Individuals and companies road safety compliant by providing advanced driver training to all.
